I have had experience working in the law in California, Idaho and now New Mexico. I began my legal experience interning with the Honorable Michael McConnell of the 10th Circuit. In California, I worked as an advocate for children with special needs. After graduating law school, I moved to Idaho where I worked as a prosecutor for Nampa and Caldwell city in Canyon County. I focused on traffic and misdemeanor cases, including DWIs, Domestic Violence, Petty Theft, Drugs and juvenile offenses. I then opened my own law firm where I worked with child protection cases and both felony and misdemeanor defense. I also have worked with wills and trusts, adoptions, guardianship, real estate matters, special education and post conviction appeals. In Idaho, I was a member of the Idaho Child Protection Committee and the Canyon County Domestic Violence board. After moving to Los Alamos, I worked as a coordinator for the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board and Teen Court and was a member of the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board and the DWI Planning Committee. I teach at UNM-LA in Criminal Law and Business Law. I am also a board member for Family Strengths Network Board and Los Alamos Lodgers Tax Board.
